starstruck
Ohmigah! I just met the White House Deputy to the Associate Director for Science!! And she was soooo cool! She was a doctor, and then she was a teacher (and used to teach out of my A&P book, which is on my desk, which is how we started talking), and now she works at the White House! And we talked about science!! *flails*

Jamie, was there ever one of those on West Wing? Possibly played by Christine Lahti or Patricia Wettig? Maybe Felicity Huffman? :-)
I don't remember, T, but it seems like there should have been, if for no other reason that the Director of Science is at the same level as the Director of Transportation and the Director of Homeland Security (yes, I actually know that). Which means her boss pretty much answers directly to POTUS.
(In my head, POTUS is always Jed Bartlett.)
Similiarly, the word "Potus" has such a quirky, lovable air to it for me in regards to Mr. Bartlett... I find it near impossible to associate the term "Potus" with anyone who has held or currently holds the position of the P.O.T.U.S.
Go figure...
