*yawn*

It's 2am. I've been up for 21 hours. I worked from 6am to midnight. That's 18 hours in case you can't count. That's like half a week of work in one shift. My salary is looking pretty crappy next to my freelancing co-worker's enviable Sunday double-time hourly rate, grrrrr. HOWEVER, I only have to work from 11-3 tomorrow. Whoop!

Just wanted to say hi... I miss you guys when I'm not online. Krysten, I have had a card for you since ohhhh, the day after I left Phoenix, and it's still hanging out in my backpack, blank. I will try my best to send it SOON!

I got car insurance from the pesky little British gecko yesterday. And paid for my new car! I actually WROTE A CHECK FOR A CAR. I was a little sad to see that money go but I'm so excited about my wheels. *blows kisses to Tom & Melissa for giving me such a good deal!* I owe them like, 10 free nights of babysitting.

And OHMIGAH~ Madison and Dave are MARRIED! I'm so sad I missed it. I hope they stumbled upon someone from the cast of LOST while they were there.

I think I'm delirious. Must... sleep.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

My rose of San Antone

Ohmigah, I am staying in perhaps one of the skeeviest hotels of my career. Seriously, I'm not trying to be a princess, but it's NASTY. There was hair on the bathroom counter. There's a sticky ring of something on the nightstand. The room smells like... curry? I don't know but it's gross. And it's in the 'hood. Or the barrio. At any rate, the wrong side of the tracks. I'm guessing whoever booked these rooms didn't know about Fiesta and waited too long to get us decently-priced rooms on the Riverwalk.

So, I flew in last night to discover that I didn't have to work today. That's right, I could have stayed home another day. And actually, I didn't find out until I was dressed for work this morning. Sonuva! And I certainly wasn't going to hang out HERE all day... there's not even a gym! I did my 8-Minute Arms this morning with the iron and a Gideon Bible. It's the only work-out that could be done without getting on the floor. *shudders*

So I went to the Quarry... had a lovely peanut chicken salad at P.F. Chang's, did some shopping, saw a couple of movies, had some tortilla soup... all in all, a fine day, but one I wish I had been having in Dallas. I somehow forgot to pack a bra... except the one I was wearing, which happened to be black, so I HAD to make a Vic Secret run... then I went to the Gap and got a new pair of jeans, on sale, natch - can one ever have too many jeans? The emphatic answer, my friend, is NO. Then I found this bohemian tree-hugger store and bought some wicked-cool coasters made out of magazines from all over the world:

When you look closely you can see all the different languages on the papers. Then I went to Old Navy, because what's a shopping trip without Old Navy? and got this shirt which I plan to wear ironically, and perhaps photograph to e-mail to my mother. Feel the love? Mine is navy.

I saw 24: The Movie -- they're trying to fool us by calling it The Sentinel, but it's pretty much just 2 hours of 24. Plot holes the size of Texas, just like the television show! Except instead of getting across LA in a commercial break, he gets from Washington, DC to Toronto in the blink of an eye!! He's like The Flash, only prettier. It was a fun flick.

Then I saw Friends with Money- what a stellar cast of women (Frances McDormand, Catherine Keener, Joan Cusack, and Jennifer Aniston)! The acting was superb, but it's one of those uncomfortably realistic movies, like In Good Company or The Upside of Anger, with no big literary climax, so caveat emptor if you're looking for a summer blockbuster. I really enjoyed it!

*slump* I guess it's inevitable... work comes tomorrow.

let's talk about me!

So, I had kind of a crappy day, including (but not limited to) being charged $46 for a prescription that usually costs $8 and of course I HAD to have the medicine TODAY, which means I'll probably end up spending 2 hours on the phone with 15 different people to get my $38 reimbursed. Then this guy in the parking lot was backing out of his space without looking and almost hit my car, so I honked and then he yelled "Slow down, b*tch!!" and since I was already pissed about the medicine, I flipped him off and yelled "watch where you're going @$$hole!" and I'm quite lucky he didn't follow me home and kill me. Or maybe I'm just watching too much Sopranos. Anyway, THEN I busted a bottle of wine inside my refrigerator and it got all over everything, and when I opened the fridge door, all over the floor as well. Fun times.

Anyway, thank goodness that Alias, The West Wing, and The Sopranos are all done after this season, because I have a few new obsessions... besides Love Monkey with my boyfriend Tom Cavanaugh, I'm watching What About Brian, Dr. Who, aaaannd..... BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. I watched the entire miniseries (prequel to the series) today and just... LOVED IT. Wow.

I wish I didn't have to go to San Antonion on Wednesday. Turns out 3 weeks off is really not enough time to recuperate after 8 weeks on the road. Who knew?

"you're just not thinking fourth-dimensionally!"

So, I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier, since I've been downloading TV for months, but this week I finally downloaded the only X-Files episode I ever missed in 9 whole seasons. It was called "4-D" and involved Agent Doggett and time travel, which is hello, only like my favorite thing ever !!!!! !!!!! I liked it alot; in fact, I always liked the monster-of-the-week episodes better than the increasingly convoluted mythology, and they could have gone on with Agents Doggett and Reyes and I would have watched and been delighted for years to come. And then I would go back in time and enjoy them all over again.

Speaking of time travel, I have also recently become interested in, nay, obsessed with the BBC remake of Dr. Who. It's hysterical! It's really campy and I just can't get enough of it. They're showing the first season on Sci-Fi right now (episode 6 airs tonight) but BBC is in Season 2 already so I may have to just go ahead and download them instead of waiting. Is it merely the British accents that make it so appealing?

resisting

Y'all, I do not want to go back to work on Friday!! Kill me now! I just caught up on my television from the weekend. And you know what? I am giving up on Desperate Housewives. It blows. I only really watch it because it comes on between The West Wing and Grey's Anatomy and since I watch everything on DVR anyway, there's just no point. I deleted it without watching it. I did it! I gave up a show!! Only 9 more to go. *roll eyes*

Gilmore Girls is kind of freaking me out... both of them are headed for a major crash and burn and I'm peeking through my fingers waiting for the inevitable BAM! ending of the season.

OK, so, the list...

finish unpacking (namely, bedroom and office)
hang things on walls
get a slipcover for my chair
CLEAN OUT my closet (actually get rid of things)
watch the first season of Battlestar Galactica in its entirety
lose 10 lbs.
find a coffee table
go to the Trin with my friends
play golf
finish Beach Music
have girls' night (maybe poker?)
get Krysten a belated birthday present
get some new folders so I can file all this crap
register for school
have a "housewarming" get together at my new place
go to Ft. Worth to see the fam
get Scotticus and KJ a wedding present (and also, attend their wedding)
hook up my VCR/cable box/cable modem/DVD player correctly

Not tooooo bad, all things considered. Oh, finally went on that date last night. The artist. I stayed out waaaay too late and I'm so tired... I got up at 8:30 but I really just want to lie back down. BUT, I'm going to do laundry and work out and bake cookies for the guys at work.

Edited to add: I'm watching The X-Files on Sci-Fi... and Agent Doggett? Do you really think that "Stop, I'm a government agent!" is really going to stop an ALIEN?? Geez. But I LOVE the end of this episode, Alone, where they give that keychain to the little blond girl, and she asks about something that happened at the end of the movie (brilliant) and they start arguing about whether or not it was a spaceship in Antarctica, and as the camera pans away, you hear Scully say "No, no, no, you were frozen! And I hugged you until you weren't frozen anymore." Hahahahahahhahahaha! Man, I miss that show.

Alias tonight!!!

Requiem

just catching up on my 8 missed hours of TV from the last 5 days ...

DANNY AND CJ! DANNY AND CJ!! DANNY AND CJ!!!!!!!!

*thud*

Welcome to the world!!!

I became an aunt and a second cousin (again) today!! World, meet Cavanaugh Garrett Mullins, born this morning to my step-sister Carrie and her husband Jerry in Crockett, TX, and Brett Davis Adcock, born this afternoon to my cousin Karisa and her husband Judd in Bedford. Pictures to be posted as soon as possible! I loooove babies... especially other people's babies! Oh yeah, and I did in fact say Cavanaugh.

Also, my "I heart Tokyo" t-shirt won me a free upgrade from the Japanese rental car guy- no kidding! And I think I may have fallen in love with my Jeep. Too bad it costs like, twice as much as any car I will ever own.

In other news, I left Texas last Wednesday at about 60-70 degrees... today? Busted 100. On April 17. The hell? We exceeded the record high for this day in history by like 7 degrees. Geez. Thank God I turned on my air conditioner before I left: it had been so cool that I hadn't even had it on yet!!

In other news, I found my golf clubs (yay!), I finished Season 5 of The Sopranos, I finally got my boxes from World Market in February, and I have many, many hours of TV to watch and about a thousand errands to run tomorrow. Hope everyone's Monday was great... I hope to have my apartment finished before I go to work on Friday and will post pictures! Kisses!

It's another beautiful day in sunny Arizona!

I'm going back to Dallas today. *sniff* It's been a fun weekend. Krysten's kid is at that age where you hold up his stuffed animals and say "What does Kitty say?" and he meows, "What does Blue Puppy say?" and he barks, etc... well last night he had this plastic zebra, and I was all "What does the zebra say?" and he matter-of-factly said "How's your day?" Very polite zebras in BryceWorld. Also, the other day Krysten said she felt fat, and he was all "Mommy, don't be fat." HA! The wisdom according to a 2-year old. Brilliant.

Anyway, only a few more days of vacation. I have to work on Friday. *sniff* I'll revisit that list before then.

Easter

Easter: the focal point of Christianity; our entire belief system is based on the Resurrection. I went to church this morning with Krysten expecting a nice time, a nice Easter sermon... I did NOT expect that the very first song (Crown Him with Many Crowns) would make me cry. The first tear I contributed to the beauty of the music and flicked it away without a thought, but all of the sudden they took over my face and my voice and before I knew what was happening I was weeping. I couldn't even get the words out. That one song spoke more to me than the rest of the service.

I hope everyone had a happy Easter, and remembers that this day is far more than hidden eggs and new dresses and jelly beans. If you believe in Jesus, this day means everything.

Happy Friday!!

Gina reminded me this morning that I wanted to post about Peeps. I know a lot of people really hate Peeps, but I've always liked them. For one thing, I like marshmallows, and for another, my siblings and cousins and I all called my grandfather "Peep" (short for "Peepaw") and he used to give us Peeps every Easter, seeing as how they were named after him and all. He used to create some righteous Easter Egg hunts for us, and when we were older, he even put money in the eggs! I remember one year when I was in college he had a cash prize for the one who collected the most eggs. There's a 15-year span between the ages of the grandkids, so it was quite humorous for the older ones (ahem, me) to be elbowing the kiddos out of the way to get to the eggs.

I wish I had the pictures here with me, but Sandy and I had a Peep-eating contest a few years ago (in our work-out clothes, natch). She put up a good fight, but I ultimately schooled her.

Anyway, I found LORD OF THE PEEPS and I thought it was one of the funniest and perhaps most frightening things I've seen in a while. Seriously. Meet Gandalf:

and the Hobbits:

They're not done yet but they're working on the WHOLE MOVIE. WHO has this kind of time on their hands?? There's even credits. It's crazy and awesome all at the same time. ("As by the way, am I.") I love it. Enjoy!

Remember, remember the 5th of November...

...Gunpowder, treason, and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot.

Man, those Brits like their creepy children's rhymes, eh?

I saw "V for Vendetta" last night. I really enjoyed it, as I do all works in the 1984/Brave New World/Fahrenheit 451 vein. It had more intellect and less fight scenes than The Matrix, which some people might be hoping to see. I know a lot of people are giving it a large politicial shadow due to recent world events but if I'm not mistaken the story was written in the early 80s, so I would take that sentiment with a grain of salt. I could have done without the falling in love bit at the end- it didn't do anything for the plot. Natalie Portman is lovely, Hugo Weaving is creepy, the fight sequence is stunning, and it was all-in-all a thoroughly enjoyable film. Two thumbs up.

I just had to make an impromptu trip to Arlington because I was trying to register for school this morning online? And it was crazy busy (first day of reg) and I kept getting "server busy" messages, and then I finally got my Psych class (Human Growth & Development), but when I tried to get Statistics, it told me I didn't have the prerequisites for it. I'm sorry, but is a college degree and two semesters of Calculus with Analytical Geometry (in which I made an "A" and a "B," thank you very much) not enough to get me into Elementary Statistics at a community college? Geez. So I had to take my transcript to the Math Department so some work-study student could handwrite me a pass, then stand in line at the registrar's desk for-ev-er. *sigh* I'm all set now though.

I haven't looked at my stat counter much lately, so I was glancing through this morning, and three people from three different countries (Iran, Viet Nam, and USA) have landed on my January 1 post about King Kong by googling for an image of either Naomi Watts or "I heart Huckabees." I didn't even post it, either, just linked it to Naomi Watts. Is that the weirdest coincidence? Also, do I know someone at Amegy Bank?

Happy Monday!

ETA: Another one! From Bangladesh! The hell??????

a personal post

One thing that I try to do is always listen to Christian music on Sundays. My mom used to make me do that when I was a kid, and I've sort of stretched it into my adulthood. Not always, but I make a conscious effort.

So, I went to church this morning, for the first time in months. Although I know that the Bible is very clear on one's necessity to be involved in a body of believers, of late I have found my spirituality being too personal for me to go to church. At any rate, going to church every Sunday I am home is on my new list of steps I am taking to pull myself back to my desired lifestyle. There will be more steps revealed in future posts.

On the way to church this morning, I heard "Clean Am I," - a song by Caedmon's Call that Sandy and I used to sing a lot in school. It's a very simple song, and the lyrics are as follows:

Clean am I before my Lord
Washed am I in his cleansing word
Though sin talons at my face
Though my lips breath curse and praise
Though verse of doubt I've too oft writ
The eyes of forgiveness see none of it

Clean am I before my Lord
Saved am I from doomsday's sword
Though thy love I've scarcely shown
Though I've wept when the cock hath crowed
Though stumbled have I in miry's pit
The pierced Savior's hand it washes it

Clean am I before my Lord
Mortality's river I shall ford
Drink will I of angel's food
Take hold the redemption of the rood
And drink the blood shed to remit
The sins of my soul, he sees none of it

Clean am I before my Lord
Washed am I in his cleansing word
Clean am I before my Lord
Saved am I from doomsday's sword
Clean am I before my Lord
Mortality's river I shall ford

Clean am I before my Lord
Clean am I before my Lord

If you haven't known me that long, an important piece of my puzzle is that the two great loves of my life have both been ministers. Two of my most intimate relationships. I have always had it in the back of my heart that I desire to marry a truly Godly man, and I have always had it in the back of my head that I am too "worldly" (read: flawed/damaged) to have one.

"Clean Am I" was the perfect song for me to hear this morning, Palm Sunday, on the way to hear Neil talk about the triumphal entry , the coming Easter, and the cleansing power of our risen Jesus: the real reason I don't feel like going to church is because I know I am dirty and being there forces me to examine that.

I had a jarring and quieting reminder this morning. A simple song that states very clearly that I am always welcome to Jesus. I always go to him clean. He obliterates my sins. I tend to get wrapped up in the intellectual side of my faith, and I need to be constantly reminded that grace is the most basic principle in the world. Clean am I before my Lord. Clean am I before my Lord. Clean am I before my Lord.

Thank You for Smoking.

Tonight was Dinner & a Movie with Erin: We saw the movie adaptation of Thank You for Smoking with Aaron Eckhart (and ps> E, that kid was the one who was in the creepy Nicole Kidman movie where she thought her dead husband was inhabiting the kid or whatever). It was a hilarious movie with a great cast: Maria Bello, William H. Macy, Robert Duvall, Rob Lowe (in a hysterical role), Adam Brody, and Hey it's that Guy!s David Koechner and J.K. Simmons. Oh yeah, and a shockingly horrific Katie Holmes. It's a really funny film about a tobacco lobbyist whom Eckhart embodies with perfect charm and smarm. In the movie, Vermont Senator Finistirre (Macy) wants to put a poison logo on every pack of cigarettes, and Naylor (Eckhart) starts arguing with him during the hearing about putting said logo on every airplane, and every automobile, and oh, yeah, every package of Vermont Cheddar, since cholesterol kills more people than cigarettes, and the Senator gets all frustrated and yells (without a hint of irony) "The great state of Vermont will not apologize for its cheese!" I also found it very interesting that in the entire movie about smoking, and smokers, and even a subplot about putting more smoking in movies to "up the cool factor"- we never once saw a single character smoking a cigarette.

Anyway, it made me remember that last time I was in Quebec, I kept a cigarette box because it was so funny. I don't read French, but I'm fairly certain (due to my context clues) that it tells us smoking causes erectile dysfuntion:

Brilliant.

Friday's Second Post: Superheroes Unite!

Man, I love love love comic book movies. If only life was so black and white! Everyone falls into mutually exclusive categories of good, evil, or insignificant... And good always ultimately wins. I love it!

Jul and I just watched X-Men (*makes note to purchase X2 for self after Easter*). We started to watch Hugh Jackman's screen test, but we couldn't be bothered because he was wearing a shirt the whole time. Anyway, I love that movie. I'm not certain it follows the comic exactly (I know, for example, Rogue's backstory is a bit different than portrayed) but the effects are fantastic and it's a thoroughly enjoyable film.

Anyway, I went to Marvel's hero page to look up something, and ended up staying on it for over an hour. What an awesome site! There are like 200+ heroes alone... they could do movies forever! I totally wish they would make Firebird.

I have a fun meme for tomorrow, but for now, Which Batman Character Are You?? I am:

Vacation Day 5: you think I'm going to do this every day don't you?

Probably not.

I have come to the conclusion that I love being a stay-at-home mom wife person. Quite frankly, it rocks. I woke up at 8am all rested and immediately got down to work in my bedroom which, I can now say, is DONE! I am so excited. It took me forever and it seems like just when I thought I had "one more box" it revealed 10 more projects. How did I accumulate so much CRAP in less than 30 years? Geez.

Yesterday I had six loads of laundry: I put one in the washer and when it went into the dryer, put another in a washer, then about 30 minutes later put another in the other washer (we have 2 washers and 1 dryer and yes, this story is going somewhere). See, the staggering of the loads is very important so you don't have wet clothes lying around.. I ran out of quarters with the 3rd load and ran over to Albertsons to get some more (where I parked between a Mercedes and a Bentley, but how I can afford to live in this neighborhood is another story for another time). I got back home and went to get out the dry clothes ... and realized that the dryer only blowing air, not heat, and due to my brilliant staggering plan now had THREE WET LOADS of laundry (plus the three dirty loads still in my apartment). I was mildly irritated, to say the least. I called the service number on the dryer and they were all "Yeah, someone called that in yesterday" like THANKS FOR LEAVING A NOTE, person who called in yesterday. To make a long story longer, I threw everything in trash bags and drove over to the corner I was certain had a laundromat on it, only to find out I was sadly mistaken, and had to come back home to look one up on the internet. Anyway, I finally found one nearby and determined that when you have 6 loads of laundry, it is worth the money to go somewhere where you can do it all at once. It cost me around $10 and I spent about 2 hours as opposed to running back and forth to the laundry room all damn day. Brilliant.

So anyway, earlier today, I saw yet another octegenarian shuffling past my window. She had a teeny, tiny laundry basket of towels on one of those hand carts like you use in Manhattan to take home your groceries. I watched her to see if she was going to the laundry room or her car (so I could warn her about the dryer) and saw her turn the corner and her little basket tipped over! It was so sad! She spilled her Downy all over the cement. I ran out to help her, and told her about the dryer, so she said she would wait, and she had the cart because her shoulder was hurting. I offered to carry her basket back to her apartment, which you know, took about a minute, and then she proceeded to TALK FOR THE NEXT 30 MINUTES. Dude. I couldn't get a word in edgewise! She was really cute and it made me sad because she is probably lonely. She didn't have a TV in her apartment (which freaked me out, of course) but she was working on a photograph collage for her family reunion in August. It was adorable. She also had this really cool hardback suitcase in her living room that was covered in travel stickers. Imagine all the places that suitcase has been! I love old people.

Anyway, I am starting to really love my little apartment. Now that it's finally clean, when are you coming to visit?

Vacation Day 4: Morphing into a Lifestyle.

I got up at 6:3oam and walked over 4 miles with Madison. Seriously. I have never been one to promote working out in the morning, but I am crazy-energetic right now! Good thing, since I didn't get half the stuff done yesterday that I intended, so today I must, must finish unpacking my bedroom and my "office"- and clean the bathroom. Oh, also? Six loads of laundry. And I'm almost out of quarters... so I need to go to the bank. Can you tell how hyper I am? I have blog-A.D.D. Look! Something shiny!

I have all my windows open and am reveling in the thunder. I missed the Texas rain!! I love it. So, yesterday I finally bought a mixer, and Bill came over for dinner and LOST... which was good, but c'mon! Further the plot already!!! And I have a "date" tonight. I think. Well, it's just drinks. So maybe it's not a date. How should I know? It's been a couple of years since I've been on a first date so I have absolutely no frame of reference.

I also watched this week's Sopranos late last night and it was... odd. My favorite line? Tony: "They say if the timespan of the earth could be measured in the height of the Empire State Building, humans would only represent a postage stamp on the very top. Doesn't that make you feel insignificant?" Christopher: *blank stare* "That doesn't work for me." Heee!

Back to housework. Coffee and dvds after lunch. :)

Vacation Day 3: onward and upward

Yay! I woke up this morning migraine free!!! I've already been chastised by Kiddo for being up at 8am on vacation, but I slept a full 8 hours (well, I woke up for about 20 min. at 3am, but this is me we're talking about, so I count that as a full 8 hours) and I can't wait to get started on my day!

The coffee is brewing, and I'm going to watch last night's TV (Gilmore Girls and House) and then work out, shower, and go to the bank and Super Target -- my loophole in the whole Lent thing, since I obviously still have to buy groceries. I steer clear of the clothes, media, makeup, etc., though. After Target my objectives for the day include unpacking my bedroom, hooking up my printer, and possibly hanging things on the walls. We'll see what actually gets done, eh? Baby steps.

So, now that Chalet J is wireless, I've fallen into the nasty habit of falling asleep with my computer... usually reading something, sometimes watching something, but I wake up in the mornings and often open it up to check my mail before I even get up to pee. I have a serious problem. Is there such a thing as Internet Obsessors Anonymous? My name is Jamie, and I am an internet addict.

Anyway, this morning, I wake up, and I have 7 missed IM's on my AIM screen. When I click from "away" to "available" - they disappeared!!!! BAH! I'm so annoyed! OB-viously it was something extremely important, like a long-lost rich uncle who wants to give me a car, or someone confessing his undying love for me, or a friend telling me they've decided to take me on an all-expenses paid trip to Italy or something. Geez.

Oh, and damn TwoP for coming up with the most brilliant Now or Never tees during Lent! It's bad enough that I missed the "smart, witty, and literate as hell" one... now I'm going to miss this one. Bah!

OK, coffee's ready, and Greg House awaits. Out. ~J.

vacation day 2: on hold

I have had a migraine, on and off, for days. I had it last Tuesday, Wednesday, and bad on Thursday, woke up at 4am Saturday morning with it really bad... and it came back Sunday night and again last night. I still had it this morning so I finally drove myself to the doctor to get a shot of Torodol. She also gave me a new pill to try, Axert, and its literature explains to me that they still don't really know what causes migraines, but triggers can be food (alcohol, nitrates, MSG, aspartame), physical (too much or too little sleep, physical exertion), hormonal (menstruation or pre-menstruation), psychological (stress, post-stress), and environmental (glaring/bright flashing/flickering lights, weather changes, strong odors). It's like they read my diary and assigned me a diagnosis. Geez.

Anyway, my List has been put on the back burner, since my head hurts too bad to really DO anything, even watch TV. Besides my jaunt to the doctor's office (in sunglasses) I've just been lying around on my left side in the dark. Remember the dude inthe movie Pi who drilled a hole in his own head to relieve the pressure? That movie portrayed what a migraine feels like fairly accurately. So did that one episode of House. It drives me crazy when people call it "just a headache" because it's just... not anything like a headache, and only someone who has never had one would dream of calling it that.

Anyway, I'm going to go lie down with some ice on my left eye.

vacation day 1

I have a really long list of things to do, but due to the incredibly sore muscles, the excruciating sunburn, and the fact that the A/C is still not on at Chalet J... I just want to lie around. My parents are coming on Friday (for the love of God, can I please just have, like, a week at home by myself?) so I really need to get the apt. finished, but I also have a lot of TV to watch, so I deemed it too hot (78 outside, 84 inside) to do any physical labor.

I did check one thing off my list- hooking up the DVD/VCR/DVR/modem. Go me, go! (With Tom's help.) Now I'm going to enjoy my new set up and watch some TV. The apartment will still be a mess tomorrow.
